This is one of those rare occasions where I upload a picture that actually has meaning behind it.

Yesterday, around 2:15 pm, one of my closest friends attempted suicide. It was a shock for me - I felt as though I could've prevented this. I couldn't focus on anything all day yesterday, I couldn't eat, and sleep was impossible. I can't even take a breath without trembling, I'm so worried about him. And honestly, I can't do much for him at this point. It's too soon for him to have visitors, I can't contact him... all I can do is pray and hope for the best.

Suicide, even just attempts, affects everyone who knows the victim. There's so many unanswered questions and there's so much you just wish you could've done.

100% of suicide attempts could've been prevented. If everyone in the world could tell a different person each day that they are loved, then by the next generation, the word "suicide" would be unfamiliar and distant.
