Bluebird was ecstatic to see all the soft pink lights. She loved seeing the fairies. Their presence was comforting. They were hanging near the water's surface, however, meaning she couldn't reach them without possibly falling in. So she had resigned herself to watching them from where she was. Until, that is, Link crept up behind her. He smiled knowingly. He took off the bracer and glove of his right hand. And rolled the sleeve up for good measure. Bluebird ran over to him, eagerly pulling at his fingers before climbing into his hand. Link laughed softly, then crawled forward on his belly. Slowly, and keeping a good grip on Bluebird, he lowered her to the water. The fairies danced around her, much to her delight. They flitted over and under. A few even came up to see her. Some were big, some were small.
She looked back at Link with a huge smile on her face. He simply smiled back. Suddenly there were fairies everywhere. All around. In a sudden burst of activity. Link suddenly got a disgruntled look on his face, and pulled back. Bluebird was about to ask him what was wrong when the biggest fairy she'd ever seen just popped out of the water. She was huge. Like, Link was HER size compared to this fairy! Bluebird got nervous and ducked down in his hand.
"Well hello, Link~ What brings you here tonight?" The Great Fairy leaned forward, sort of towering over them. Link signed something to her, before shifting Bluebird to be in sight. 'Bluebird, this is the Great Fairy Corterra. She, ah... She can upgrade armor. Among other things.' This got a good laugh out of Corterra. Bluebird, however, was not entirely convinced. Link set her down, and with a few taps of his slate, changed armor. Link seemed to brace himself. She found out why shortly. Bluebird had initially jumped out of her skin when Coterra grabbed Link like he was a doll, nuzzled him, and then vanished with him for a few minutes. And it was EXTREMELY hard to NOT laugh when Link was returned. He looked DISHEVELED. Face bright red as well. Bluebird snorted, and Link shot her an indignant look. 'You laugh until it's YOU getting dragged down there and she has her way with you... Zelda would literally KILL me for this...' She only snorted harder. Link sighed and plucked her up off the ground and headed away from the water. The second he placed her on his shoulder, she burst out laughing at just how ruffled his hair was. Link, in retaliation, grabbed her up again, ruffled HER hair all up until it stuck out in just about every direction, and then snorted himself.
Bluebird went quiet for a minute, worrying Link for only a moment before she gestured to a puddle close by. He let her look, and she promptly howled with laughter. And it was contagious. They ended up sitting there for a bit, messing with each other's hair in a competition to see who could look the most ruffled.

Am I the only one who laughs like a hyena when the Fairies just yoink him from the ground and drag him into the fountain with them? Just... That scream he does before she takes him down LMAO
