Link noticed Bluebird seemed off. Quieter than usual. And somewhat withdrawn. So he reached over and gently prodded her shoulder. He didn't get the chance to ask what was wrong before she turned to face him, tears glistening in her eyes. When she reached up her hands to him, he didn't hesitate. He scooped her up, and gently held her to his shoulder. Link felt her press up against the side of his neck, and also felt when she grabbed onto his hair. Bluebird didn't say anything. But it was clear she was finding some comfort in this.

Not a whole lot to this one.
I had to put my dog, Vinny, to sleep two weeks ago. I miss that dog dearly. This was a comfort piece for me.
