Vancouver is nicknamed Raincouver because it rains so much.. The weather is terrible these days, one day it's sunny and the next day raining and gloomy.

So I did an illustration of what I felt ^^ I tried to go for a more cartoony feel but I'm still heavily influenced by anime, LOL. It's fun painting with Crayola marker ink, but the only problem is that my scanner overexposes the lighter areas and make the blue neon-bright.. 0.o I tried to adjust it in Photoshop but the white areas don't come back.. T^T

Does anyone know how I can fix it better? Any comments and critiques will be loved!

P.S. White gouche is perfect for painting raindrops!

Submitted to the Chaos and Absurdity contest. I thought this would be a good scene to depict for the theme because the weather is hardly predictable, which causes a lot of chaos for people like me who never bring raingear.. plus the fact that the number of days that are rainy in Vancouver is simply absurd!
