This is an original character of mine, Rayne. He might kinda look like other characters from anime and manga and whatnot, but he is entirely my own. Although, dark and mysterious winged dudes do seem to pop up all over the place quite frequently...Why is he glowing? Because he is a god, of course. The prince of night, the lord of summer, and the bringer of rain...

I agree, something in his face looks... off. The nose, the circlet, the way the bangs hang in it all... I dunno. He is quite prettiful and his wings just make me happy ^^
dark mysterious winged dudes, eh? Dark :chuckles: I just read all there is of DN Angel and I have the anime on cd-r somewhere... I need to find time to watch it lol.

I thought about it, and I think it's mostly his mouth. Too low. His nose is a little off too. I drew him in class on a piece of lined paper, and by the time I got around to scanning him, his face was a little smudged. I'm not all that satisfied with his hair either, to be honest.
But overall, I'm pleased with it.
I watched the D.N.Angel anime a couple weeks ago (borrowed the boxset). I dunno if the manga is the same, but I found the anime to be a little too...juvenile for my tastes. Dark was hellishly cool though.

The manga is much better from what I understand, which is why I think I'm reluctant to watch the anime. The manga may indeed be better, but it is also incomplete. It stops at volume 11... and that's not anywhere near the end. The writer is off on another project T___T

A friend suggested I watch the anime because a) she could lend that to me but not the manga, and b) the anime has an ending whereas the manga does not. Damn shame about that, too.
It wasn't a bad ending, especially compared to some of the tear-jerker anime endings I've seen, but I shall say no more than that.

I love that background. The work on the trees, especially; it looks awesome.
The wings on Rayne look great, too. The only thing that bothers me is his nose, but it's not a big deal.
