Dark!Ten or Dark!Nine. I love it all, the guilt over losing Gallifrey, the loss of his family and everything he'd ever known ... it brings a new layer of depth and pathos to the show and his character.
I love Eleven, but I wish Matt Smith could get more Dark!Doctor too. Mind you, I haven't seen all of Series 7 yet, but he just hasn't gotten enough.

Yeah, it really does. I also loved all the development Nine and Ten went through, dealing with their guilt and learning to move on. (Well, until Ten snapped towards the end, that is...) But the concept of a Dark!Doctor is very fascinating
Actually, I thought Eleven had quite a few dark moments, too... His childish persona often distracted from it, but I thought he had quite a dark side in him in general, what with the way he often simply ignored any consequences or undid them, just so things were going the way he wanted them to. But eh, that might just be me (Only watched Eleven's run once, so I might remember some things differently.)

I think Ten's insanity at the end really adds to it, actually. I remember in The Waters of Mars when he says something along the lines of, "The laws of time are mine and they WILL OBEY ME!" ... like something the Master would say, almost, and it adds to the fact Donna said he needs someone. He'd been travelling alone for some time and he was slowly going insane.
Again, I haven't seen all of Eleven's run yet. I agree he's had some dark moments, but not too many and definitely not as much as Nine and Ten did. Maybe they'll just throw a lot of dark stuff at me at the end, who knows? Though somebody partially spoiled the 50th anniversary for me, so I'm not sure. One thing I'm unclear on: does Eleven get his memory wiped after he learns Gallifrey hasn't fallen, or doesn't he? Again. Someone spoiled most of the episode for me but now it's been nagging me.

At first I was like "why is there a lantern next to him?", then I realised it was the Tardis x)
Great job!
