love this one...and I don't have the background or experience to say WHY...however, it does evoke a feeling of isolation for sure....

This comp is an aerial at it's best. The unique angle catches my eye while the interesting diagonals and structures keep my interest. The image has a pseudo-two-dimensional feel, like an oblique blueprint. I also like the grated lines in the lot and runway surrounded by the dark mucky spots and grasses.

Again and again I keep coming back to the strong design, almost as if you laid it out for a painting. And I know the blown-out highlights bother you, but they do add to the graphic aspect of the painting feel. Good choice with the thick white border, as it helps take away some of the intensity of the bright buildings. And it's neat the way the shadows lead off to the right.

Thanks! I'm glad that you appreciated this, as I was uncertain whether or not to post it. It does seem more like a different medium of art than a photograph. I suppose I should be self-confident and say that I meant for the highlights to be blown out, but it was (as you know) a happy accident.

Some of my best shots are fortunate accidents.

I'm glad you decided to post.
