Yes, this IS the same guy as before. The truth is, Xen was never designed to look cute, I just did that to make him lose face, because I'm horrible like that XD (sorry Xennn~~!) It turns out people actually liked it when he looked cute (I'll be sure to use it as blackmail material in the future XD)Artist's note: White hair is a NIGHTMARE to shade when the whole picture is in graphite pencil ¬¬

(Btw, Xen isn't Japanese - I thought 'As the cherry blossom falls' was too long, so I changed it to sakura.)

Since you said Xenon is basically your most liked OC as of now, I figured I'd give those deviation(s) a closer look. Glad I did. The shading and expression comes out a lot more looking at it zoomed O.O It isn't necessarily a bad thing (because I think it looks pretty cool actually) but the turtleneck seems to be poking outward with an edge- similar to an ax. It's not entirely round-looking. I don't know if you were trying to make look like the wind was blowing at it or something, but regardless, it's a nice stylistic touch.
On a side note, he looks similar to Joshua from the game The World Ends With You (TWEWY). An amazing DS game I might add

Yeah, the turtleneck does look a little weird. Thing about it is it looked fine when I was drawing it, but once I scanned it I noticed it looked a bit strange.
I'm also more used to drawing turtlenecks in a more manga/cartoon style when straight and pointy looks cool, this one has a little more realism so it looks out of place XD
*googles it* Oh yes! Joshua! I suppose Xen does look like him (When I first saw Joshua in KH 3D, I thought he looked really girly - don't tell anyone I said that XD)
I actually wasn't even aware there was another side to the KH games....some fan I am...

Lol, TWEWY was just a really awesome one-shot RPG owned by SE, so they mixed things up a bit. It's a cult hit.

Ugh, no not yaoi.... (￣Д￣) Why is it they ALWAYS take a character who's slightly feminine and put him in a guyXguy relationship? It's the same with every character I know like that! Just because they're a bit girly doesn't mean they're gay, c'mon! I really don't understand some people....

This is awesome, considering you were doing this while skipping on your cosplay preparation duty. I looooove the shading on th hair and face!

I like to try out a lot of different styles so drawing stays interesting. This time I thought I'd do something that looked a little more impressive than a simple manga drawing.
