Melisandre of Asshai, the Red Woman, priestess of R'hllor and sometimes referred to as Stannis Baratheons 'true queen'.

I like Melisandre a lot, but that's mainly because I'm a fan of the actress who portrays her: Carice van Houten.

Her hair and outfit in my picture is mainly based on her first appearance in Game of Thrones. She's standing on the beaches of Dragonstone with burning images of the Seven around her. The dress is very simple. In fact, I think it's one of the simplest dresses I've ever drawn. The necklace and belt were a bit more difficult, but I think I've pulled it of The hair was the trickiest part. I really wanted her hairdo from the first season two episodes and I had some difficulties drawing it. In the end I'm glad about the way it turned out

The sigil in the background is the crowned stag of house Baratheon inside the burning heart of the Lord of Light, R'hllor.

For the night is dark and full of terrors.
