I sorof "stole" this flower, It was growing in fron of a shopping center in their garden, but it wasnt the only one, they wouldnt even have noticed this one was gone...

Um yeah, I took it home
I stopped next to a big bunch of them and left my car on, cutted off a few flowers and rushed back into my car and went home to go and shoot them
But I dont see "stealing" flowers as theft, they dont make any money from them and now a lot more ppl can see the flower.
I see it as a good thing.
But stealing a gardners prize winning rose is wrong...

With a shot like this i would rather do a long exposure than to use a flash.

Yeah there is something special about natural light compared with flash light. There are a few around who can use flash light and make it look natural, but I'm afraid I'm not one of them.

From what i have heard is the trick is to not have the flash on the camera, this destroys any shadows and that makes the photo dull, It is always better to have any external light source from the side. If you have no choice you can underexpose your flash, this will not have the same strong effect and wont destroy al the shadow’s that gives depth to a photo.
I always try to shoot without flash, but you cant always get away with that

Yeah I always try to back off the flash but sometimes it doesn't work for me and when you're using film it can be frustrating. I have used a Lumiquest kit for some portrait work and that works well, but it can be a bit hit and miss also as with all bounce flash, ttl doesn't work. I really do have to get my act together and get my D70s. *sighs wistfully*

The D70 is a great camera. It rates better than mine on sharpness even though it has only 6MP.
It will be a great investment. Just think off all the fun you will have. It is really worth the money.
