Description Animal Crossing

What a pleasant game this was. I remember that my brother and I used to play this together. We called our town Termina. Yeah, we were uncreative. This game was very relaxing, and the villagers were very charming. One of my favorites was Tybalt the yellow tiger, grrrah. I had so much fun trying to complete the museum; I even caught every insect in the game.

Animal Crossing: Wild World

My favorite installment of the Animal Crossing series. Sure, the holidays SUCKED in this game, but I liked the customization and the added stuff with your neighbors. It’s also unsettling to know that all of the players live in the same house, but since I played this game alone, I was able to customize my mansion however I liked. Character’s from the original game, such as Blathers, Nook, Gulliver, ect, were changed slightly or expanded upon, which was refreshing. I can’t help but notice that Tom Nook was depicted as being a whole lot more greedy in Wild World than the original (Population Growing). I’m sure the online play was pretty good to, but I wouldn’t know for certain. My DS is apparently sickly and refuses to function correctly with WIFI. Oh yeah, and my villagers were awesome! Especially Joey.

Animal Crossing: City Folk

I remembered buying this the day it was released and feeling a tad disappointed. Animal Crossing isn’t exactly known for it’s difficulty or exciting game play, yet City Folk seemed easier than it should have been. But at the same time, it was unnecessarily frustrating with elements such a dying grass. It was too easy to befriend your villagers, yet neighbors that are extremely close to you will decide to move away, and there is virtually no way to persuade them not to. I think the moment I realized that City Folk was my least favorite Animal Crossing game was when I caught some bees around the second or third time they fell. Bees are supposed to be intimidating and challenging to catch, yet… City Folk sort of follows the Pokemon syndrome, in that it didn’t change or improve enough from its predecessor Wild World, yet Wild World changed quite a bit from Population Growing. The most prominent change City Folk made was the addition of the City. I liked Harriet and Lyle’s new depressing occupation, but overall, The city is a big grey puddle of dullness. But that’s just me.

Enjoy

Wow, cool. Get ready for a long comment ovo

Wild World

This was my first ever game I had bought. I was really excited to play it, and I loved my neighbors, especially Purrl! My town fruit was oranges, and I was amazed how the Animal Crossing World worked, since I couldn't buy Population Growing, or, for that fact, a gamecube controller for my Wii.

City Folk

I was SUPER dissapointed with this game. I felt like everything had changed, and I agree when you say it seems easier. I didn't like the new neighbors OR the city that much. I felt like some things had changed too much, especially some holidays.

I actually liked city folk... I agree the city could have been better but hey everything else was awesome. I mean you could get a freaking credit card! XD But the neighbors could have been better....I didn't really like the DS version though I want to play the 3DS version now.

Awww, she looks so sad. But I love all Animal Crossing games. They each bring something unique. I only recently started playing City Folk and wigged out when I could dress as a Samurai! Among all my brothers I am the only one who keeps playing. Being a truck driver I played Wild World for five years and still have not caught all the bugs and fish! And I am still two paintings short as well. Wild World is something I use to help me sleep at night. I keep the DS clock off by 12 hours so when I get ready for bed the day is just starting. Then I play until I doze off and the DS hits me in the face (I lay on my back as I play. I did something a little different in Wild World too, I became a Super Hero. I use the 'hero mask' and made a Green Lantern design so now I save S Van (my village) from the traps of the insidious "Pitfaller". But if I fall into his trap my power ring losses its energy for 24 hours. And I keep my Lantern Battery disguised as a green lava lamp in my house. And when not doing that I just cruse around in my outback hat, sporty sunglasses, and captain's shirt. With golden slingshot in hand I shoot down anything that crosses into S Van airspace.

such a sweet picture :3 i never had the pleasure of playing the gamecube version but i got WW and it was my life for about 2-3 years and i've recenlty started playing it again. When i heard about city folk i wasn't all that interested ( no wii) and i felt annoyed for people as i watched a couple of reviews etc, cause i realised itw WW just slapped on to the wii even the music is the same. I hope the animal crossing 3ds is going to be better than CF maybe with more of the events and festivals like in gamecube? For now i can only wait.

Do you plan on getting the 3D one? you can play on any DS (to my understanding) i'm gonna get it but i am kinda dissapointed about the people you play as.... THEIR TALL AND SKINNY! like STICKS! o.e [link] <--- see what i mean? okay maybe not sticks, but no just no... wild world is the best. only cause i haven't played the game cube one.

Yeah, I've seen the news about this. I don't think I will, or at least not immediately after it's release. I'm just too busy with real life anyway. I just know all of my neighbors would move away

i think it's probably just me, but on Tybalt, which ones are his eyes. i can see the lower pair r the eyes and the upper pair of eye brows or the upper pair r the eyes and the lower pair are the cheeks.

Angerfish In reply to TumiaArtStudio [2011-04-07 06:47:30 +0000 UTC]

The lower pair are supposed to be his eyes and the dots above those are his eyebrows, but I can't draw, so just pretend he's a spider. It makes it so much easier that way

Seriously though, thanks for pointing that out!

I so agree with what you said about Animal Crossing: City Folk. I got it on day one myself, and even then I had decided that there wasn't enough added to even call this game a true sequel. Heck, they didn't even bother changing the music, which probably was one of the most disappointing parts for me. Now they have a new one coming out for the 3DS and I'm just feeling a bit skeptical about it. I want to know that this game will offer me a better experience than City Folk did. Hopefully they won't let us down this time.

omg the first one. dat tigerrrrr <333

and ACKK IKR?! But it looks the coolest and it has wifi.
But yes, the grass and everything else makes me maddd

I was the one who thought of the city like 5 years ago. I SWEAR. (jk but i always thought about it)

In my opinion, they should of made the city bigger, wifi accessable and lots more to do there. :/ like have some villagers live there too.

BUT GOD THIS PICTURE IS CUTEEE

I love your style, the picture is so cute.

I'm unsure whether to buy the Wii one, incase it is a waste of time, I have the GC and DS one though, so it would fit my collection rather nicely.
The GC one is my fave, it feels more calming, happy and relaxing.
I like the additions on DS though, if the GC and DS game were combined, it would be perfect.

The GC Animal Crossing was the one for me. I did absolutely everything you could do in that game, as far as I know. One of my best memories was always trying to wake up early in the morning (much more early than I'm used to) to catch the Giant Stag Beetle. It took two of them flying away from me to finally catch one.

By the time the DS one was released, I was all Animal Crossing'd out. I bet playing it with someone like you could rejuvenate my addiction again.
