Just as others mentioned, the symmetry is nice. It's also rather trippy, but nice.

Good composition, and for the most part it's very symetrical. The fact that there isnt anyone else on the train contributes to the eerie feeling you discussed in your decription, as does the fact the camera's shooting straight ahead, and nowhere else.
