Yeah, I have a low opinion of the human race too. But my thing is that God getting mad at humans is kind of like an artist or an author getting pissed off at his own work. Or a car company getting pissed off at a defective car that catches fire. Passing the buck off and blaming someone else for their own mistakes. Had the same conversation with a couple of stoned lebisan wiccans once.

I think I got it from some random quote spoken by Gene Roddenberry, the creator of Star Trek. Said something like 'If this is your God, then I'm not impressed. He creates faulty humans and blames them for his own mistakes.'
