I SUCK at drawing tets...
My side of the art trade with
Making this picture has helped me realize a lot of things. For one, it's that I suck...hard
I seriously need to step up my game if I want to have a successful profession as a Graphic Designer or an animator. Cause I will get NO WHERE with the skills I have now. My Graphics teacher actually sat down with me and told me that I'm so gifted, talented, beautiful young girl...yadda yadda yadda. And how I really have so much potential and talent for a 17 year old. I told him, "if you only saw what other people younger than me could do..." Anatomy...is where I fall short from "amazing". My coloring is aemature...and the way I draw... well, that's just my style
I agreed to do this AT because it was different from the point commissions I do. Yes, it's a fan character, but Neige is a little bit more... different than the rest. Her design is more complex, and drawing her doesn't put me to sleep... it actually kept me on my toes. When people ask me for point commissions, I always hope it's a commission that would be a challenge for me, not one that looks like a recolor. Im not talking about the personality or the powers of the oc, I'm talking about the design, Im looking for feeling, for adventure. Something that makes me smile, not something that makes me procrastinate because I feel like I have something better to do than just sit in front of my laptop all day. Which is why I don't do requests... and my Art Trades are only limited to those who have higher or equal artist ability compared to mine. Because when I see their side of the deal, it helps me see what I need to improve on.
Like right now, just by looking at this picture, makes me see how much of a failure I am. And let me start by saying, even though I'm putting myself down by saying this, I'm setting myself higher for future success and less mistakes..

-Her cola (tail) Not the one on her butt, the one on her hair, is totally not in balance with the rest of her hair.... ;n;
One of her bracelets is bigger than the other.
I feel as though her eyes aren't the right size, but that also might be a mistake that contributes to my style of drawing... :/
He hips are SO out of tune with the way they really are compared to the rest of her body...
And her boobs, HER BOOBS, I CANT DRAW BOOBS TO SAVE MY LIFE!!!!
But she IS one of my favorite OC's out there! 
Besides all that, I really hope you like it R-no71~ It's really helped me realize a lot of things!

Well, the skills you have now. That's right, these are the skills you have... now! Comparing yourself with other people's skills is something you'll do during your whole life as an Artist, no matter if these persons are younger than you or not.
It is normal to feel kinda down, envious and a bit late when you see what some young prodigies are able to do despite their young age, but we all are placed at different rates on the gifted-o-metter and I personnaly don't think this is the most important. What is decisive is mainly how much you're willing to devote yourself in your work and your personal investment; The only thing you should keep of those comparisons you do with other artists' stuffs, is to find by this the motivation to improve your skills and to kick your own ass again and again, instead to despair as so many people do. But according to that kind of anger you currently seem to have toward yourself, I don't think you're that kind of girl which is going to give up, all the contrary hehe.
So yeah, anytime you see an amazing piece from a very talented artist, just take the best of this! There will be always someone which will be better than you in the world anyway, so what you just have to do is to practice a lot and to do your possible to "stick like glue to their ass!" >:3 lolz french expressions translated in english can sometimes sound weird, I know \o/
Well, I actually take very well these words you said about Neige's design actually 
About anatomy, the better advice I can give you is to take some Life Drawing courses, and once you're a student in Animation you'll get a lot of them. This is one of the best ways to improve your skills, no matter what you want to draw; my teachers always told me that and they are highly right.
I'll tell nothing about the proportions here, I know this highly depends of the style of everyone ^^ Everybody is free to draw Neige as they want about this, I don't mind at all.
Well, and about the whole drawing itself... C'mon, you don't suck SO hard It is good to me, and I quite like it. No matter these little mistakes you noticed on your own, not even about those BEWBS >:3

That's how it is growing up in a hispanic family, anyway! XD Your mother tells you you will never grow up to be anything, and that's your motivation right there;to prove her wrong XDD But thank Jesus my mom falls out of that stereotype. I would've run away by now..LOL
Actually, last Sunday at church, there was an add up on the walls that said they were doing art classes at a church recreational hall. One of those classes included the human anatomy, so the safest investment for me is to try it out!
I am taking animation classes with a friend for Senior year next year
