Description
Well, I decided to do a realistic drawing. So I picked Idina Menzel, who is a Broadway actress and is famous for being Elphaba in Wicked and Maureen in RENT. I'm pretty pleased with it.

this is really good. The shading of her clothes and neck are very well done. The hair seems to really flow as well. awesome job! ^^

Very nice. Her jawbone is a little off - and I'm only saying that because I've been looking up pictures of her as Elphaba compulsively for days. Otherwise, fantabulous.

I envy your drawing skills, eh! Especially your use of shading. I can fake the shapes (they aren't great, but I can manage), but I never manage to shade it properly to get it realistic enough.
Her left shoulder looks a bit tenuous, ambiguous, because it meets the hair but never quite seems to be defined by a line. Maybe I'm just imagining it.

I think you might be right... although the hair is in front of the shoulder, the top of it could be emphasized a bit more. I'm glad I decided to wait to spray it with my fixative, because I'll probably go ahead and change that. See how it looks anyway.
