To me, it's a simpler, beautiful version of Adam & God touching fingertips, only God is in the blackness, invisible here, and the branch may be reaching into nothingness. There is a great gap where there is no other side of the bridge, so essentially, it is alone with itself & God hides within itself on the Otherside. Even if none of those meanings are meant, I love the photo anyway for its stark beauty & simplicity. Perhaps a desire yet to be fulfilled?
