The idea behind the contest wasn't "Make a fanart for it". It's to be used as an official ad thing, so of course they should use official images, right?

yeah that's right, i just expected judges to aim for some pieces with more of um... "artists personal interpretation" of Ponyo? just my personal opinion cos if they wanted an cropped and edited official pictures in a banner they could just hire someone in their company i guess. SInce i do these kinds of banner and ads as freelance myself :'D

But anyways, winner is a winner so yup

Yeah, from what I understand, a lot of the really great ones got "Disqualified" because they changed the color of the text in the template, or moved it to the bottom.
