everything about this picture is amazing, exept for the dogs, their hair need to look more fuzzy around the edges, now it looks like they have no hair. i wouldnt change a thing on the rest of the picture. really love the background, the mist really brings out the details and the glowing arches are a great contrast to all the darkness in the picture. excellent work!

The pose is so comanding, and regal on stance. Her face holds the attitude of a woman who never takes "no" for an answer.
The symbolism of the black dog on her right side talks us about the duality between good an evil, and the way the evil reaches for her, is so passionate, careless. It makes for a wonderful contrast with the contempt caress of innocence she gives to the white dog.
The angle of the face, looking down, in demeanor... it's just beautiful.

once again you facinate me so that I stop breathing for a moment until I almost faint.
This is so well detailed and I wish it was bigger so that I might better be able to study it at length.
As far as I can see with my bad eyes and monitor resolution the dogs don't seem too detailed though...and a bit boxy for my taste. That's just a minor thing anyway, but I figured if you did love dogs as much as I do, then they might end up being the main subject...hehe.
That dress is SO fine, and the woman is so gorgeously done. In my artistically inclined mind's eye...this woman is you. Intelligent, wise, deeply caring and loving, strong and aware...and so damn talented that everyone worships you...as I do.
Have you ever thought of the real numbers of people that have seen your works?

I got a couple of quibbles, but mostly I love it. I'm concerned about the direction of light - I found it very confusing that there were shadows on the backs of her hands. Ultimately, I figured out where your light source was (lower left) and appreciate the dramatic value of that angle, so perhaps ultimately it's the setting that needs to cooperate a little better (cause, for her sake alone, I think you were right to put it there.)
I think the top cut off the archway is probably fine. I'm a big believer in " letting the viewer complete the picture" anyway, and I'm pretty sure your composition is solid as is. It might benefit from more headroom up top, but I'm not convinced it needs it. Overall, I think your setting is fabulous. The pleasantly foggy gloom is wonderful, the archway a perfect compositional aid which seems completely at home there, and the forest seems rife with quiet magic and majesty as embodied by her presence before it.
I'm not personally a huge dog fan, but it's great how you've used them here. Our eye finds her first, the white dog second, and the black dog third, creating a whirl around the image as we take it in (that's wonderfully reinforced by the archway). Besides just the basic strength of the composition, I think that white dog/black dog pairing is crucial and hugely successful to how well this works.
Most of all, though, I was just immediately bowled over by your freshness here - something about your colors and balance makes this feel so new from you, as if it's a very different atmosphere than we're accustomed to from your work. How can a scene simultaneously feel so thick with fog and airy with life? And amidst all the mildness of the forest is her own rich luxuriant green of her dress - that is an awesome dress! - and her own especially lovely golden hair.
Anyway, pardon my breathlessness, but it's been a long time since I came running to see a new piece so fast as this! Hope your new year is going well, and this is a sign of more great work to come!
