Description
Valore is simply italian for Valor (i'm sure anyone could have guessed it at this point). But more importantly (in my Bloody Bastard webcomic series), it is also supposed to be the name of the plasma sword of the legendary fighter Tacitus : an iconic blade, somehow lost (supposedly melted when falling from atmospheric reentry) after the events of the orbital arsenal putsch that sealed the fate of both Tacitus and his commanding officer Gretchencko (or at least that is what's generally assumed)! Tacitus is more commonly reffered to as the first major of the Bloody Battalion (Gretchencko's elite bodyguard corp from Primus Sector) but also more widly known as Bloody Lion. The sword in itself is kinda linked metaphorically to his will to fight : to his humanity. So Tacitus' valor should be in fact, his own humanity (to make it short)! Why is Hayden represented wielding it in this illustration? (Well, there might be a hint to a light spoiler ahead)!
