Regarding me, and most of people who likes this genre, I love the defeat of the heroine, not the defeat of the woman. Actually, I love when the hero is a male too. Seeing Superman totally defeated and helpless gives me the same satisfation than seeing Supergirl or Wonder Woman. This is why everytime I hear the misogynistic stuff, I say these people didn't get the point. I like when the Good is destroyed and humiliated by Evil. And the Good can be a man, a woman, an alien and so on. Most of us are not misogynistic, but misoGOODistic. And only in fantasy. In real life (I speak for myself) I strongly believe in justice. What you say is true to a degree but I love heroine peril and if I wasΒ a girl then these would be Superman or Batman in trouble.

The point is I don't confuse fantasy with reality. I like gunfights in movies and horror films but I do not like fire fights in real life or killing in real life and the same goes for this.
