Taken at the Aguila Game Reserve near Cape Town, SA this shot is of one of their 'tame' Cheetahs. These animals were hand reared and so are used to being approached and handled (within reason).Cheetahs are apparently unique in the animal world as they remain tame once they mature if hand reared from young. Leopards, Tigers etc revert back to being wild once matured no matter how used to humans they are as cubs.

Tame as you like. Wouldn't want to hack it off, and the keeper told us to remove sunglasses as if it sees another Cheetah it would want to play which can be painful with those claws.......

i believe cheetahs are also unique in the fact they are built similarly to dogs - their underside tucks under their legs and they have dew claws. i think that's right.
