Description I doubt that anyone want to hear the same emotional story about relationship of my monitor wth color adjustments, so I can only hope that the difference between what you see and what I do is minor.

Painting part: ~3 hours.
Postprocessing part: ~7 hours. Don't ask me what was I doing...

I'm pretty sure nVidea has some software to help callibrate monitors. In fact, I know they do, because that's what I use. But it looks nice, and my display doesn't show it too bright or anything. It's like, realistically surreal, if that makes sense.

What a neat, almost random effect! I love the way that the dark gas cloud looks like a droplet of ink in water.

Well, when I look from above at my display it is bright as well. Otherwise it seems too dark.
