Description
The creature growled and attempt to charge thrusting forward its corroded weapon. Torl easily deflected the spear to the right and allowed his momentum to spin him around the oncoming beast. The stinky gnoll shot past and the elf slash across the creature’s lower back. It screamed and dropped the spear to clutch at the deep wound.

Something glinted in the moonlight and Torl instinctively ducked. An arrow glanced of his armoured shoulder and flew away into the night. Without hesitation he grabbed the stinky gnoll by the throat and twisted him in the direction of the archer. The beast tried to scream for help from its brethren.

The reply came in the form of an arrow to the gut. Crouched behind his shield of meat and bone Torl spotted the archer behind a tree thirty paces away. There was another sickening thud as a second arrow struck Stinky in the chest and Torl struggled to hold on as the beast clawed at his stranglehold. Two more arrows buried themselves into the meat shield and the gnoll started to go limp. If the creature died the elf doubted he’d be able to carry the dead weight, he needed to do something quick....
