Description "You don't believe me, Dr. Jones? You will, Dr. Jones. You will become a true believer. "
(Mola Ram in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom", 1984)

Same time, different location: As Lydia reconstructed the fate of poor Vanessa Rodriguez, Carl Jerome just revealed some more interesting informations to his crew...
"... Yes, but the temple it is already found, it's the Snake-Temple near the hotel. No other building were found in this area" said Debra.
"No... my dad had described it very exactly in his diary. This temple is surely not the building, that he heared from in the story of the native guy he met. The snake-temple was already know when my dad was here in the 1980s. The native guy talked about a large and distingtive rock nearby... My dad guessed, he meaned the Rock that is called 'Finger of God'.
"Okay, lets assume, there is a second, undiscovered building hidden in the jungle. Where is the connection to this giant Anaconda we shall catch?" asked Bruce.
"It's build to worship this monster" abswered Carl, "and now comes the very best part of the story: Its stairway was flanked by two snake-scupltures made of stone..."
"Okay, i see the connection, seems, this beast is damn old... Or there are more than one, right?"
"Forget this damn snake for a few minutes please!"
"But it's on you to don't forget we can earn $35,000 if we catch it alive" said Deba.
"We can earn millions of Dollars if we find this second temple! The snake-sculptures have inlays made of pure gold! The eyes of the snake are made of rubies, big as golfballs!"
"Huh! Sounds kinda like some story straight out of the script for next Indiana Jones-movie!" answered Debra.
"Or the next Tombraider-Game" joked Bruce, "Debra, would you like to play the role of Lara? Guess, it would..."
"That's surely not a joke! Why the hell did you think, i took this job to catch this snake? It was my ticket to finally round up an expedition and to search the treasure my dad had heared from."
"So, he didn't saw it with his own eyes? He only heared it from some native who hared it from another guy and so on. There are many stories around such treasures... Starting with El Dorado, followed by..."
"I guess, it's more interesting than searching for some secret Nazi-bases in the arctic." mumbled Bruce.
"Morons! He heared it from the man who had discovered it!" scolded Carl, and he was on the edge to show him the place, but the shaman of his tribe warned him. It was not the time to return to the temple he said. Time will come when a new high priestess will took place... Nevertheless, the next day he was ready to lead my dad to the place for a good fortune, but..."
"But what?" gasped Bruce.
"My dad didn't found him again and all of the other natives pretend to not knew him..."
"Ahhh... the usual thing that happens in all conspiracy-theories." taunted Debra.
"Okay, you can believe me or not... I guess, the poor guy was killed by the other members of his tribe to avoid that he share the secret... But why let the chance pass by to take more than the $35,000? It's on our way, located somewhere in this area, here, only a few miles away. Why no combine the catch of the natives god with the plundering of his temple too?"
"I guess, the natives would not be lucky about this..." said Bruce.
"So what? Whe have far more firepower, dynamite, chlorophorm-grenades and a lot more gadgets in our arsenal!"
"And what is with this crazy Snake-Lady? Lydia Yagelovsk?" asked Debra.
"This Lady is really crazy, you know?" said Bruce, "Remember the video that the cam on the hotels security-fence made of her a few weeks ago... That's absolutly lunatic!"
"Oh, when the time come, i will take care of her if she did the blunder trying to stop us..." answered Carl with an an evil grin...

This are the kind of scenes that show me, that the money for Vue 9 Studio was a very good investment. When i said in my comments to RAWR! that DAZ-Studio is still better for close-up scenes, for wide landscape-shots Vue is the best choice ever! I love Vue more and more and it give me the tools to show Sucirijus world at whole. In Obsessed , an early try to made a wide jungle-shot in DAZ-Studio, i failed in spite that i had more the picture in mind that i was able to made now in Vue. And yes, the "known temple" Debra talked about is the one in "Obsessed".

When i start working on this, i had no idea for a title: "The Ruins" was the working-title, but it was already used by others in a story with a similar building... notice the red blossom on the steps, yes, that's my reference to the borrowed working-title
"The Gods that Time forgot" was the second idea, but too long, and the temple is a building just for one deity.
"The Relic" was already used too; again in connection to central- or south-america.... But one suitable title was left, simply using my own pseudonym

Technical side:
My third work mainly done in Vue. "Temple of Sucuriju" (ToS) modeled and textured in Hexagon 2.5, ToS and Man preposed in DAZ-Studio 3 Advanced and imported into Vue. Setup, posing, lighting, athmosphere, rendering done in Vue 9 Studio. Only very little post-production done in PSP X
Size: 5500x3438 px, 291 Objects, 1 Light, 3,848,498,232 Polygons, Rendertime: 33 Hours and 42 minutes.

The Temple of Sucuriju is available for free here as .OBJ-file for use in almost every 3D-software:

Actually i play with the idea. Maybe in the last 1 or 2 works of the series, or in the (only vague) planned sequel "Sucuriju - Reconstriction" and/or (vague planned too) prequel "Sucuriju - Preyrelease".
But at first i must bring the original series to an end: At the time i am in a "creative break" of the Sucuriju-series, but it will be surely finished sometimes.

BTW, what's that thing at the top of the staircase? It looks like a baboon or something...

It's the native who had discovered the temple; the guy that was mentioned by Carls dad.
Picture have 5500x3438 px in download, so it's maybe too small to see it in the preview.

I guess, about 15-20 works are still to do, and i got sometimes new ideas to insert in the story, so it's a very rough guessing i do.

Vue starts at $49 (Vue 9 Frontier) up to $995 (Vue 9 Infinite) or even more.
Vue 9 Pioneer ( [link] )is even for free, but very, very limited, but it's good for learning the first steps in Vue and to find out, if you like it.
I would recommend Vue 9 Esprit ( [link] ) for $199, the smaller versions are too limited in the functions, even for biginners. Vue 9 Esprit comes already with the important Import-module that you need for importing Objects from other 3D-programs like DAZ-Studio, Poser etc..
The good thing about Vue is, you can upgrade it by buying further modules. Even if you start with Vue 9 Frontier, you can upgrade it to Vue 9 Complete bit by bit (or module by module) if you demand more functions.
I bought Vue 9 Studio and enhanced it already with the EcoPainter-module (the overgrowing of the Temple was done with this module). My next upgrade will be buying the Export-module, so i can export Vue-scenes to DAZ-Studio too.

Hammer. Beeindruckt mich immer wieder,w as Leute damit so hinbekommen.

Komisch... ich hatte gestern bei "CATch of the Day" genau dasselbe.

Vue 9 Studio von e-on: [link]

Yes, i hope so. Sometimes i need to do a work with "no monsters" inside too And so i had the idea to introduce the Temple of Sucuriju a little bit earlier. In the first draft it was planned that Lydia shall found it, but with putting this little loophole in-between (and the add of a second storyline beside the hunt for Sucuriju) i was able to introduce it already now
