I like that you stylized it some.. gives it a nice polished 2d look. But I guess overall I like subtle frames, because as soon as your frame is taking attention from the artwork you're in trouble!

It has a really intersting chain feeling to it, like all the parts are interwoven. And a perfectly chosen gradient might I add... gives it just the perfect fading sharpness. Beautiful.

You are right, full view brings it into a completley new prospective. So, what program do you use? And about those tutorials you read....
