I know it has been a while again, but I am very happy to finally be posting more work in my Dragon Age portrait series!How could I do this series without including all the advisers? That's right, I couldn't.
So here she is: The lovely Josephine "Ruffles" Montilyet.

Very much worth the wait for such a lovely piece of art!
Her skin does seem a little too light, but it's obvious that was not intentional, so I'm not going to call you a whitewasher by any means.
I also just have to point out how wonderful that braid is. I find braids difficult, so when I see ones as nice as that, I always have to say something!

Thank you so much for the lovely comment! I think her skin is appearing lighter due to the lighting, but I would like to invite you to put her next to one of my other portraits and compare skintones. I did that to make sure I did not make her too pale by accident.
The only one who comes close to her in skintone, is Dorian, who is quite tan himself.
I tried to contrast the bright lighting by putting in those warm undertones and showing her actual complexion wherever I could. By no means am I saying that it's my excuse, I am just trying to explain my reasoning for why she may appear fairer skinned than she is.
I think I may have put priority on atmosphere and lighting over correctly depicting her skintone... my bad.
