Can anyone tell me what the hell "vision" means on a critique? This one should get 20/20 I guess haha. Anyways.
Very cool concept on this. The drawing itself is good but it lacks depth. You need to use shading and darker colours. I can see you kind of using highlights but they are all over the place, you need to have a light source in mind when shading and highlighting. Do some studies on light ^^ Right now it looks vivid and bright but too flat. Try looking at pictures of plants and see the texture they have and try and reproduce it.

I also think it would be more effective if it were zoomed out a bit. Where the flower cuts out on the left is kind of awkward since it's right before you can see the stem, so it kind of looks like a blimp with the back exploding instead of a flower hehe well in the thumbnail.
So, changing perspective so we could see the stem might help with that.

Conceptually this is really cool, like the title too.

Best

Thanks for the helpful suggestions. All your points are exactly what I'm looking into now.

White and highlights, at the moment, seem to be my nemesis.

Also, this was merely a doodle, as are most of my paintings/artworks.

There are many times I see the 'errors' and refuse to amend them. In fact, there are a few out in the world that, when I look at them, all I see are the flaws. But, I understand that making errors, and having others help point them out "in a helpful manner', is what makes us better artists, if we strive to do things differently next time.

Again, thank you so much for the insight!!!

Happy to hear that! Being that it's a doodle of a doodle, I agree, it came out fairly well.

Thanks! Yeah, this was a fun one. It only took a couple of days, and originated from a margin drawing in a spiral notebook. I'll post the doodle later in my scraps.

I love how doodles can evolve into full on finished pieces and still turn out awesome without even trying. Keep up the great work!
