Reason:One guy told me that my gallery looks cold and... blue and... boring. Can you imagine that?! Well I'll give him boring... and it'll be bright RED boring xD

PS. HATE IT!! >..< I can do better than that....
And that crappy scanner killed all the delicate reds :/

A cat! I love cats. And the way it sits there looking at the horizon. The dots hanging from the trees make me think of music notes. Like the cat is listening to a music only the cat herself is able to hear. Nice! And not boring at all!

That's exactly why I'd never turn the comments at my works off, they are just too fun to read! And it's not true that they have to be harsh critiques, pointing out your (obvious) mistakes. I liked your 'other way' of seeing the things I know so well

I really like the delicate branches and the vibrant sky! And a kitteh! Don't let some jerk make you feel like you need to change something. There are better ways he could have said that. Just do what you do - you are fine! Your gallery is lovely, and I enjoyed going through it!

I am a very low self-esteem person and I don't take critique lithtly. This is something I'd rather hear from a person who knows me, than some idiot on dA, who thinks he has the right to undermine everyone just because he can. And this jerk happens to be my best friend

If your gallery looks cold and boring in someone´s eyes I wouldn´t want to hear that persons comment about MY gallery O.O What a dumbass! I think gallery´s full of colours and that you have one great talent with mixing and using many opposite-colours together

I'm glad to hear that. This whole autumn thing is always messing with my emotions and hormons... Like spring does to "normal" people. And it's like that every year. I love this time of year. Glad I could manage to capture this unique feeling

I think the kitty saved this from being thrown away
Well it depends. I don't make them just to sell them. I do commisions, but only if someone comes to me directly and asks, it's not like I advertise or something. If it's made for someone, it's not rally part of my own soul. I like giving my art away as gifts, but as gifts only, for someone I like, for someone I like, someone that means a great deal to me, but not only. I would also give away my painting if someone would really, really like it. Like this girl, Kerstin from Brazil, liked that cat I made for club's contest, which I wasn't very happy with. She recieved the painting by mail last winter
The reason for all of this is because I had two art exhibitions, when I was 16 and 17. I had I great breakthru in my style between them, so this second one was really something, it even traveled to another location. This was when I first sold some of my art, the prices were lower, than dA prints in polish currency! And yet I earned my small fortune, that helped me survive my last year of highschool. I sold many of my paintings to people I didn't even know. I have no idea what happend to them later, I don't even have good scans. I regreted all of this for a very long time, perhaps I was attached to those works too much. So even today I don't like the idea of selling anything to someone I don't know (if it's not a publisher of course xD).

I've also sold pieces that I kind of regretted and no longer have good scans of...and always wonder where they are, and if the person who bought them is taking good care of it
well I was just curious, Im hoping someday I can buy some of your prints. Theres so many pieces I love, your art isnt only beautiful to look at, its one of the few artworks that actually have some emotion and lots going on in the drawing. Very few artists have emotion in their drawings anymore, though skill is imporant(I guess)

Really. Really very important, as for me it's probably the most important thing in art. I suck at skills mostly, but I feel great every time I feel like I've captured some emotions on this piece of paper, and nothing else really matters. I don't really care for technical critique, the truts is I somehow dislike it. It's just like being judge with all the wrong aspects. Like you have commited some huge crime, and they tell you you are going to jail because you haven't washed your hands and teeth (or something like that). I respect people who can see what's really important in art. You, Robin, are deffinitely one of those people. I met only few here on deviantART, but even so I'm glad I'm here.
I always thought about your art as of something net very technically perfect, but with huge dose of emotions. And that's what makes you and your art special.
Skills are never that important. Not to me at least

ahh I totally agree. Thats why I always put critique not desired on all my art now, just because most people of critiquing is bashing the style. Though I get a few people who whine and think I must think my art is better than every one else's so I dont need critique. I've alwaysss felt so strongly about the emotion in the art being more imporant than the technical crap. Like for me, personally, I've never really liked the drawings where artists try to make it look like a photo, theres nothing there but a lifeless drawing that looks like a photo, no emotion. I just never got it. I was never good at giving critique to others, its sort of pointless to me. Every single artist has their own style.
Im glad someone agrees with me, there really isnt many artists that think that way
