Lorelei looks so young She does not look 25. Poo... Anyways, I did the Bloodstone family, so I thought I should do the Gilmann family. There's Mama Gilmann (Lorelei - age 25), Mama's little Batman (BB!Cliff - age 5), Mama's Superman (Strom - age 29), and Mama's little Spiderman (BB!Reid - age 1 yes, he's wearing a Spiderman onesie)).

After the first movie with the creature of the black lagoon (I'm going to say the crappy sequels all have a different creature), Strom went into hiding for a while. Lorelei ((German siren myth--look it up if your interested ^-^ )) stumbled upon his little underwater cave, where she met adorkably awkward Strom, and they fell in love. Lorelei was the headstrong silly ((Comic-Nerd-y)) force that kinda drew Strom from his hermitage. He's never been good with people, even though he's incredibly curious about everything ever, but Lorelei loved him in spite of his weirdness. They got married young, and had Cliff unexpectedly, but had few problems with the surprise birth. Five years later, they had Reid.

This is supposed to be the year before Lorelei (and her unborn child) dies with pregnancy complications, and before Mr. Gilmann gets all reclusive and hesitant to allow outsiders into their small home. ((He fears losing someone else who he loves greatly, and thus is now super protective of his two sons.)) Mr. Gilmann still wears his wedding ring, even though he is a widower, and does not have the capability to find someone else. Lorelei's necklace was given to Cliff; he never parts with it.

Obviously Strom looks nothing like the actual Creature in the movie... and this is because I felt like designing something else--originally, the design team for the Creature went in a serpentine eel-like way, which turned out more beautiful and ethereal than scary... so they scrapped it and went more kelp-y; I decided to go back to the serpentine roots . So, lets just say the people that encountered the "Creature" over-exaggerated his "scary and looking like soggy corn flakes"-ness. I did, however, use the plates from the original design because they're friggen' cool.
