Description Lineart of ~RaptorRia 's character Athana (minus her mega-sword). I wanted to play around with some perspective here, since I almost never dabble in it. I like her upper half best, especially the foreshortened arm/hand and her chomped-off fingers :3

The perspective is the first thing that yah notice with this one! You should "dabble" in it more often! Very nice pic.

I really like the way her armor turned out. With the platemail over the chainmail, she actually looks rather protected.

Good job!

Thanks! I liked her armor design too - it's both serviceable and visually appealing, I think.

I agree! If I were her swordsman opponent, I wouldn't know where to attack, other than her head. Compare that with so many of the scantily-armored fantasy women, whose outfits LOOK kinda cool, but certainly aren't functional.

I'd wager Athana could take out the entire female cast of Soul Calibur, based on her armor, alone.

LOL, I'd stand behind her, too. And you haven't even seen her sword yet. All it would take is one stabbity-stab in one of the Soul Calibur chicks' mighty heaving naked bosoms...

...Yes. I'd definitely be standing behind Athana, then.

I mean, what? XD

I'm glad to see art from you again. Somehow I'm thinking the "Tales" games series from Namco. :3

Really awesome perspective!
Did you use any sort of reference here?
This is an amazing piece, you know.

Thanks! No reference - this was one of the drawings I managed to kick out while at school with no real access to anything. x_x I wish I knew how to push perspective even more, but this is a good start, I guess

...chomped off fingers? No wonder it makes my hand hurt a bit.

Looks awesome - I wouldn't have any idea how to even go about trying to draw that ^^ Love it ^^

Thanks! Usually when I try to draw something like this, it flattens out and unforeshortens itself as I draw. This one actually worked!
