Hey guys, long time no...write? Hope you all had an awesome New Year's Eve!
Anyway~ Haven't drawn in traditional mediums in forever , and I became so rusty and blegh. Wanted to draw a fanart to one of my favorite anime series besides Naruto or Pokemon for once, hahaha So I drew this. and then I got depressed but I wanted to capture the scene as closely as I could to show...Dammit Nina. This episode always gets to me...

Picked FMA over FMA-Brotherhood due to the fact that I saw FMA first, and this scene was more heartbreaking than FMA-Brotherhood

I watched FMA with my wife after coaxing her for some time about how awesome it was. When she caved in, this is one of the episodes that got her hooked. Hughes' funeral, his death, Nina's arch, they surprised her. She had never been much of an anime fan (thinking it was childish), and so was extremely startled that she wanted to cry for these characters and how mature their deaths were.
This scene and that story is proof of the storytelling mastery of the author of FMA. And you captured it so perfectly that for a brief second I thought this was a screenshot. The lighting and emotional tone is replicated superbly. Well done.

When I went to watch FMA to the end (had started before but quit half-way through) I was DREADING this episode. I don't LOVE FMA, but I'm far from hating it and this really got to me.

Between this scene, the scene with Hughes daughter yelling, "No! Daddy has to go to work!" at his funeral in the first series and the scene when they find the outline of Nina on the end of the alley wall, those were the three scenes that made me lose it and I cried profusely. I would stop crying then five mins later I would start all over again.
This scene broke my heart and that was the first time I tried throwing the remote at the tv because I was so mad
