Description
Fine silver viking knit net is tightly wrapped around the onyx agate cabochon, holding it firmly in place on a 16 ga sterling silver wire base.Pendant is minimally decorated with wire wrapped, hammered 16 ga wire.
I oxidized and polished the pendant to enhance the wire wrapping, viking knit bezel and the color of the stone.
Pendant measures 55 x 32 mm (2.165 x 1.18''),
Leather necklace is 51 cm (20.08) long, with additional jump rings for adjustment.

Thank you! I love viking knit, but it has to be soft wire to get it to be this even, I tried with bronze and copper wire and wasn't satisfied with the result so I stick with fine silver wire

I only tried it with silver plated and copper wire, but I can't get it this even with those materials either. Silver wire does seem like a good solution!

And be sure to use fine silver (999) it is much softer than 925 silver (even dead soft sterling silver wire) and that means a lot when wrapping a cabochon with viking knit
