Himura Kenshin and Yukishiro Tomoe of Rurouni KenshinI was doing some edits on an earlier version of this when tt just occurred to me, to check the timeline... Ikedaya incident happened in July, and by winter, Tomoe died.. so it wouldn't have been possible for the two of them to have a spring together, so I had to change the earlier spring to autumn. Β

I admire your attention to detail and your willingness to change such a big part of the picture to make it fit into the cannon timeline.
I think I actually like this version even better than the other one. Those warm colors work so well with Kenshin's hair and the entire athmosphere becomes warmer and gentler IMO.

I'm glad that you like the changes. It is warmer and more fitting I suppose... but I still wonder if there's someway I can improve it.. haha
Generally, I'm not afraid to tweak finished pictures if I think it needs it. Quite the contrary actually; if there's something wrong with the initial peice I'd be antsy until its fixed.. its my obsessive streak.Β

First of all, you are very welcome, as always. I enjoy your pictures so much I just have to comment on them, even if it is with a huge delay.
Personally, whenever I try to fix something in an older picture of mine, I notice so many other things that look wrong, I just want to scrap the whole thing and start anew. Then I notice how full my schedule already is and how little of it I get done and I just leave everything as it is.

Well... actually, they would have an autumn together then, wouldn't they. Β Autumn generally comes before winter. Β They may not have been as close then but the bond could have been growing. Β It's the start of the peace that Kenshin needs so badly, and that's why her loss is so poignant.
Also I LOVE how you fixed this up. Β It's like a shot taken during a stroll and they are completely unawares. Β
