I figured people might like to know what his wings really look like. Left uncolored because everyone has their own opinion on what color they really are.I actually had to do some work to get this. The only reference good enough was the one you see. And even then, it wasn't perfect - there's distortion caused by the planks of wood in the warehouse, so the shadow in the screenshot you see isn't 100% straight outline. I did my best to remove the distortion, and draw the outline as it's seen.
The rest that you see is all what I made up. This is about...80% accurate, with a peak of 90% accuracy (losing 10% at least due to the distortion errors).
This is just my idea of what they actually looked like. As you can see...he's been through Hell (literally, and figuratively). Seeing as he's been in battles and assuming angels' wings don't molt, that's probably millennia of damage there.
At least he's a celestial body. Physically flying isn't required.
You're more than welcome to use this as a reference. I don't mind.

These wings are the most perfect rendition of Castiel's I've ever seen. I traced them to try to learn to draw wings myself (don't know how much I actually learned, I was so distracted by the pretty) and did a recolor which I put in a picture I drew. As I said...these wings are gorgeous. Thanks so much for drawing them.
