OK this idea I got at a total spur of the moment!!! If you need an explanation for this, you are a lamentable creature without a childhood!
Just a little fun between projects, I guess.
I always imagined Severus as a cat person, but a crab is a cheaper alternative for a school pet. And it suits his personality!
