Description
This is the complete version of this pic [link]As you can see.
They're the three original Seekers (Decepticon jets) from G-1 TF series. The left to right: Thundercracker, Starscream and Skywarp. Perhaps the most popular among his kind.
But there are several points I have to explain:
*First: To draw machines, mechas, whatever, is really hard for me. I know this pic have several anatomy defects. In fact, if the pic has a good result is because the seekers are human figures with wings
*Second: I did this pic because I wanted to draw those TF since they're my favorites back to the original series
. I put them in a team posture, but respecting their personalities: that's because Thundercracker has a pensative look, Skywarp is smiling, and Starscream... well, I worked hard with his face, I couldn't find the right expression. But he has his wacky smile ^^*Third: this pic is the counterpart of this one [link] Yes! I think their personalities are matched XD
Well, I did this pic with Photoshop, only. TC and 'Warp figures were quite easy, but for Screamer I used another old pic of my own. I altered the original pic and changed his face.
The most dificult thing was the reflect effect on the floor
But I like the result a lot

He always has been. Regular purple and very dark purple.

G1 Skywarp was black with purple details and hands.

Acording with my pantone guide, he isn't. Anyway, changing the thopse colors lightly for artistic reasons isn't wrong, but a common technicle.

I understand artistic license except when it makes a character unrecognizable. Skywarp look like one of the nameless Decepticon jets from the opening trilogy.

Its a color guide. I still don't see how that determines the color of a character.
Your character design is wonderful. I just don't see why you think Skywarp is all purple. He's always been black with purple accents.

Very easy. Pure black is #000000;
SW purple coat is: #31202a; (sample from the wing)
Ergo it is not black at all, just a very dark purple, but definitively not black. I can understand somebody whose eyes aren't trained in catching colouring, may think it's black.
Besides, I don't get the point of being arguing about something nobody cared since I published this pic years ago, and it's obvious who's.

Didn't see the pic years ago. Did you ever own the toy? I do and it was most definitely black, not dark purple. You can see the difference if you hold it up to another black object.
I can see how somebody could think he was purple though. Most of the canon images(toy, cartoon and comic images) I found on a quick Google search had a purple cast to them.

I have the toy, indeed. And I can apreciate it isn't pure black. In fact, that shade is hardly used in any painting because it's troublesome.
Anyway, I'm not about to keep arguing about this just because don't like to see it SW in plain black. Thank you.

Starscream: "Unbelievable! These Autobots are dumber than Skywarp!"
Thundercracker (to Starscream): "Perhaps, Starscream, but have you considered an escape route for us?"
Starscream (to Thundercracker & Skywarp): "Try the upper deck! Hurry!"
Skywarp (to Starscream & Thundercracker): "They sealed it off!"
*All of a sudden, one of the walls on the side of the ship fails.*
Starscream (to Skywarp & Thundercracker): "Now's our chance! Fly through the hole!"
*They do so.*
Skywarp (to Starscream): "'Dumber than Skywarp!'?! I'll show you dumb, Starscream!"
Starscream (to Skywarp): "You always do."

Thundercracker (to Skywarp): "'Ugly!'?! ALL THREE OF US LOOK THE SAME!"

Skywarp (to Starscream & Thundercracker): "What happened now?"
Starscream (to Skywarp): "The Autobots have booby-trapped this room...fools!"
Skywarp (to Starscream): "Wait, are you calling us fools or the Autobots fools? Because I'm not gettin' the sense that you respect me!"
Starscream (to Skywarp): "Silence...fool!"
Skywarp (to Starscream): "That's exactly what I'm talking about!"
