Description
Hello, it has been some time, again. I hope everyone is fine
So, here is the final version of the WIP I posted a while ago. It is intended as a gift for my niece Constance. (And comes as a counterpart to the 'Fairy who turns leaves into stones', that I made for Constance's sister Lilly:
)
For 'Floating in the air', I used some Finetec iridescent watercolours for hints over my copic markers (as an example, the golden embroidery on the red cloth, or the fishes and the girl's jewelry.) These render brilliantly in real life, and allow much more details than my usual posca markers. They cover the marker remarkably, and have a great texture. I just love them. The chitty part is that they absolutely don't come out good with a scanner, since the beauty of them comes in the reflexion of light. (As you can see here, the scanner totally kills the light, despite any digital correction attempt:
)
So I had to use a photograph instead of the scanner, to give a truer idea of how it looks like. Sadly, the quality of the photograph was not exeedingly good, and I had to cheat with gimp again, with a still crappy result. But, at least, you'll see the lights XD (It's a good thing that Constance will get her drawing in real life; it renders far better with the drawing in hands.)
So, that's it for today. Wishing you a nice week end
