I have a HP deskjet 3510 with a scanner built in.
It kinda sucks to be honest, but it serves it's purpose xD

Ahh ;u; do you use a specific program for scanning or is like it built into your computer? For like processing the image onto your computer? Mine is so bad I don't even know what to do with it OTL

nope, it's just built into the printer and the printer's program

Maybe play around with the setting of yours? Do you save it as png or jpg?

oH um well I've never tried scanning a picture as a PDF but pdf is usually for documents, not photos
Try switching the settings if you can to PNG? :')
