Description Watercolour

A little picture I painted on my art course. I really enjoy painting sleeping creatures.

I wanted to try out a new technique. I usually use really strong vibrant colours. This time I tried to use pale colours and many different colours for shading to make the picture feel more soft and dreamy. The picture took me about 2 hours to finish.

She's a little cippari. They are a fantasy race of mine which look like fauns, but their culture is very different.

Yes, cipparies sleep in little holes in the trees - In the same way as squirrels but only in bigger holes. The holes are so small that only a few cipparies can sleep in it. On summer they can have holes of their own, but on winter they sleep together to warm up each other’s.
