Description

After Sonic and Akira run and left the previous town to the capable hands of Tails, Natsumi, Janus and the townspeople living there, they soon spotted a huge brown-coloured, eight-legged robot spider stomping toward the next town in front of it.

“A robot spider, huh? Haven’t seen one of them for a long time.” said Akira with a deadpan look on his face.

“Totally. Also, not a bad race, big guy. But there’s no way we’re letting you getting and trampling that town.” said Sonic confidently to the robot spider as he run and jump up and land on the robot spider while Akira summon out and use his astral chains to grab and restrain the robot spider’s legs, preventing it from walking and giving Sonic time to take the robot spider down with his spinning ball move before it blow up and break into pieces and fall to the ground.

“Ta dahhhh!” said Sonic as he jump down and landed safely on his feet in front of the townspeople, which make Akira rolled his eyes as he dispel the chains on the now destroyed robot spider legs.

“Thanks so much for getting rid of that robot spider, mister Sonic and mister Akira!” said a mobian male Siamese cat.

“That was so cool!” said a mobian female Tenrec.

“I thought we were goners!” said a mobian female fox.

“How do you move like that?” said a mobian male bear.

“You’re all welcome.” said Akira as he nodded at the mobians.

“Thank you, thank you, all of you………” said Sonic before he and Akira see the mobian villagers suddenly start yelling and pointing at something behind them before running away, which make both Sonic and Akira to look behind them and see one of the robot spider’s red eyes started to glow before an anthropomorphic bright pink-furred, green-eyed mobian female pink hedgehog wearing a sleeveless red dress, a pair of white gloves on her hands and red and white shoes on her feet and holding a huge red hammer in her hands suddenly showed up while raising and slamming her hammer down on the robot spider’s glowing red eyes, smashing it and putting the robot spider down for good.

“Now that’s what I call a perfect “Hammer Time”, Amy Rose.” said Akira proudly to the female pink hedgehog named Amy Rose.

“Why, thank you, Akira. And nice to see you too, Sonic.” said Amy as she smiled and nodded at Akira before greeting Sonic.

“Yeah, nice to see you too, Amy.” greeted Sonic politely back to Amy before he and Akira see Lux (an anthropomorphic black-feathered, blue-eyed mobian female black swan wearing a short sleeve mint green shirt, knee length blue jeans, a pair of fingerless white gloves and white shoes on her feet) flying toward them and holding/bringing Scarlet (another anthropomorphic red-furred, grey-eyed mobian female red hedgehog wearing a short sleeve light blue blouse, long blue jeans, a pair of white gloves on her hands and short black boots on her feet) with her before Lux put Scarlet down beside Amy then she flew down and landed in front of Sonic.

“Hello, big bro.” greeted Lux happily to Sonic.

“Hey, little sis. And hello to you too, Scarlet.” greeted Sonic happily back to Lux as he raised his right hand to patted the top of Lux head before he glance and winked at Scarlet.

“H-Hello, Sonic.” greeted Scarlet in slight embarrassment to Sonic.

“So how did you girls know we’re coming?” asked Akira curiously to Amy, Lux and Scarlet.

“From Tails and Natsumi, of course! They told us about what you two did with them in the neighbouring town and we hurried over to aid you two! We just knew you two would stop by here.” replied Amy.

“I see.” said Akira.

“Huh. Words travel fast…… Ah, never mind. Looks like things are under control here. We’ll be going now and thanks for the save earlier. Thanks!” said Sonic as he turned and ready to run off again.

“Sonic, wait! We came out here specifically to find you two here!” said Scarlet swiftly to Sonic before he could run off.

“Us? Why?” asked Sonic in confusion to Scarlet.

“Yeah, do tell, girls.” said Akira.

“Akira, Sonic, we need you two to come back to the Resistance.” said Amy.

“You want us to come back to the Resistance? I thought you all were doing the clean up now that the war’s over?” said Sonic, more confused now.

“That was the plan but we didn’t account for how large the Eggman Empire’s army was. The leftover robots are everywhere, even without Eggman to lead them, they’re a constant threat, randomly attacking anyone they find. The Resistance is working to finish the fight. By working from a centralized, organized position, we can be way more effective. That’s why we want you two back.” explained Amy.

“I see.” said Akira.

“So will you two come back to the Resistance?” asked Scarlet.

“Nah, I’ll pass.” said Sonic as he shake his head.

“What, big bro?” said Lux with a surprise look on her face.

“Oh, for the love of-why!?” said Amy in disbelief at Sonic refusal to come back.

“Tails pointed out something that’s been bugging me. The last group of badniks that we faced in the previous town was way more organized. But Eggman hasn’t shown up to claim responsibility. Subtlety is not his forte. And now you three just happen to hear about where me and Akira are, right in time for another super badnik like that robot spider to attack where the five of us are likely to be?” said Sonic.

“Now that you mention it, you do have a point, big bro. It is weird.” said Lux with a pondering look on her face.

“Yikes, we hadn’t thought of that. Then it’s all the more reason for you two to come back to the Resistance!” said Amy.

“Yeah, isn’t it better that way, Sonic?” said Scarlet.

“No. It’s all the more reason for me to hit the road and find out what’s going on.” said Sonic as he shake his head again.

“You could spend weeks or months running around settlements looking for clues.” sighed Amy.

“Saving more folks from more badniks. It’s win-win for everyone.” said Sonic confidently to them.

“Yeah, but big bro………” said Lux before she got cut off by a mobian female sheep running toward and calling for them.

“Sonic! Akira! Miss Rose! Miss Scarlet! Miss Lux! Emergency! We’re under attack!” said the mobian female sheep worriedly to them.

“W-What?” said Scarlet.

“Hey, it’s cool. Akira and I just took down the robot spider badnik.” said Sonic.

“No, I mean an army! Invading from the West!” said the mobian female sheep.

“An army coming from the West?” said Akira.

“Meaning the spider robot earlier was a decoy.” said Sonic.

“We’ve got to stop the army invasion before this town here is overrun.” said Amy.

“Alright then. Akira and I will run ahead and thin them out.” said Sonic before he and Akira run off to the West to faced and fight the army.
