Yes. Her story is that she was in fact killed in the onslaught that took her family. Before that she had bonded deeply with several wild dragons harboring power over elements. When these beings learned of her death they merged with what was left of her soul and repaired her body, though she has no memory of what happened beforehand except for memories of the dragons. The dragons usually come out in a ghost mode when she uses elemental power, but when pushed to full power resurrect their original bodies. The most famous dragon of hers to appear is Necrosan, dragon of darkness and death.

Yes, her dragons, my crew, and Hank's 'team'. Heh, sit back, kids, it's story time.
She is closest with Hank, though the reason for such is a little bit darker. After the events of her rebirth she wandered aimlessly, eventually landing in the Nevada deserts. A group of agents found her and took her in because of her odd appearance and species and brought her to a testing facility where she was kept for some time in captivity. Some time later the facility was raided, by none other than Hank who apparently was sent on mission to cripple a section of labs used for genetic analysis and mutation. Coming across her cell, he was also intrigued by the question "What the hell is that?", deciding to inspect for himself exactly what the agents have done. Breaking open her cell, he took a cautious approach to her, as she remained frozen in a corner out of fear. This approach, however, left him open to an attack from behind. Before which, Azure jumped at the chance to get back at her captors as she grabbed the agents hand and lowered the temperature of his body to the point where his blood froze and crystallized, puncturing major organs and the skin all at once. Seeing nothing like this before, Hank had to have this asset at his disposal, so his primary motive for taking her in was to keep her as a personal weapon. Though this motive has dulled down a bit over the years. D:

She was not aware of it, because she was still rather young. However this is why she looks to him as a father and is probably why she's still alive and able to fight well. And over time Hank has dropped his ulterior motive in favor of having someone close to him and who has his back. It's a lonely life in the desert.
