There are many times when things are beyond words. So many times, when you simply get lost with words. Standing in front of her, watching as she leaves, still unable to speak your heart out. At night, you lay on your bed crying, why had you let the chance slip off? If only you had said it. If only she could hear it. If only you had that little more courage. If only. . . lovely use of typography here. I especially like that the words sort of look like water ripples in that they are not perfectly ordered around the central heart. The variation in text color and size also does well to put extra visual elements into this piece. However, the text clashes where the the heart dents inward and it becomes a bit distracting. It's a great concept otherwise.

i guess there isnt really any caterogory for the portfolio.. its just under the wide variety of design? but our course has 4 different specialisation.. which are.. animation, games design, interactive media and digital film and video...
i din enter the course wif a portfolio. erm.. but when we graduate we do need to have a portfolio.. which i think consist of around 35 to 40 pieces of artwork.. and a personal website i think..
hmm.. i dunno if i have ans ur qns or help u in any way.... o.O

The reason I'm asking this is becuz I didn't graduate from an Art school, but intending to build a strong portfolio for my next job.

erm. im currently studying in nanyang polytechnic in Singapore.
specialising games design in Digital Media Design (DMD)
its course routine is kinda of like basic and theory in year 1.. and u start to specialise in one of the 4 specialization dat i have mention. currently animation is u as u noe. animation -_- . mainly touching on 2d. and slightly a little on 3d. i guess.
interactive media will be just plainly web site design programming and stuffs. as for games.. we do more game art den just designing a game.
currently i guess if u wan fast cash. websites are probably the easiest way to get. other than dat.. think 3d are getting hot and hotter. high polys and stuffs.. hmm.. but traditional arts still hold its stands. i guess hteres pretty much things u can do for ur portfolio. u need a certain theme or strong aspect that u wan to focus and recognise for. cant possibly u try to best every thing u have for ur portfolio.. hmm.. and oso.. i guess. hmm.. but its still good if u noe a variety of programs and and multi task? haha...
