If you have a walk along a European coast, it's very likely that you'll find these plants: Plantago coronopus, also called buck's horn plantain, minutina, or erba stella. I'm quite sure, however, that you won't realize them, since a plantain isn't exactly that what one can call an ornamental plant.
But have a look - it has its hidden beauty ...

This is very different looking then the ones I usually spot on the side of the road. I don't remember it flowering like that.

The English plantains are in bloom here. Most people look at those and think "weed." I look at them and think "Oh, the English Plantains are blooming."

Yes, I could do, i.e. pictures of some parts of it, as others are still in the state of reconstruction after a company buried new pipes for water and gas across the garden last year. I guess, however, you won't see any plantains on those photos since they are rather unobtrusive.
