Description Without being spoiler-y, I loved the movie. Seeing all the old characters again, plus all the new ones! I ESPECIALLY LOVED REY. Honestly, this movie was just what I needed to get out of my art rut, even just temporarily.

Besides loving EVERYTHING, I also loved the fact that there were girls in the background. Girls working in the First Order and girls working in the Resistance. When I was younger, the only girl in Star Wars (episode 4-6) was Princess Leia and some slave girls. Not that I didn't love Princess Leia, because I DO. It just felt like there was no room for girls in 'a galaxy far far away'/the future. So even if it seems like a small thing, it means a lot for me to see girls in the Force Awakens

You are very welcome! To be honest I have to say that I do not like the new star wars film so much Ich think it was pretty entertaining! But somehow a copy of the old movies the only thing I really loved was rey's character And I think she is Lukes daughter what do you think?

Shoot! Sorry if this reply is late Been busy this January.

*gasp* Really? Well, I do see your point about The Force Awakens mirroring A New Hope but it told it in a different way? Like how some people tell the same stories in different ways. It was entertaining for sure I could be biased by my excitement to finally have a new Star Wars movie to love

I think she might be Luke's daughter too! Either that or Han and Leia's kid. I think I might prefer the latter. Other people think she's Obi Wan Kenobi's kid. Or Anakin Skywalker's clone. That's a bit crazy. What 'theory' are you leaning more towards?

No problem!!

Yes a copy is okay, if the story is been told as great as the original (at least!). If not, it is just a poor copy to me xD But that is only my opinion.. (and the opinion of some freaks and nerds on the inet xDD). However Rey really saved it for me

I would be surprised if she wouldn't be Lukes daughter and so far the film wasn't surprising at all (sorry ), so I think she actually is his daughter..

It's fine! Don't worry, I respect your opinion. Some of my friends have the same opinion as well. I think I might be biased because I love Rey sooooo much!

I agree with you! I wasn't shocked at all. Even by the ~death~ of a certain someone. The only thing that really shocked me was that Rey was the "awakening in the force" aka a jedi. I never thought I'd see a female Jedi playing lead

Yeah and what was really surprising was, that she was immediately able to use the lightsword and everything xD like Luke trained months (or years? ..don't remember..) and she's like: oh lightsword, lets kill the bad guy in 2 min xDD But I love her as well!

But Luke didn't train for that long. He didn't even train to spar yet he was able to match Darth Vader (later on in Empire Strikes back) and destroy the Death Star with the power of ~the force~ (I re-watched the movies before the movie, sorry super fan-but was amazed on how easy it was for him. It was definitely different in my mind when I watched it last). Even the fact that Luke didn't join go to school for flying but still was the best shot among the X-Wing Pilots who technically had more experience. The force is like immediate license to be amazing XD

More than Luke, Rey's been on her own and has learned to defend herself because of it, so I think it's more realistic for her to be able to take Kylo Ren. Well, she didn't take him on exactly. Just fending him off till the ground parted. Also, during the whole movie they kept emphasizing how strong Chewie's bowcaster was. They made Han borrow it from time to time and show how strong it was. It parted a small sea of storm troopers who flew in the air. So imagine that hitting Kylo Ren's side, I think he was 1 hit to K.O, obviously Rey could hold him off in that condition. I'm not sure how she'd fare with a healthy Kylo Ren to be honest.

I'm sorry if it seems like I'm arguing, I had similar views to yours but after watching the Force Awakens again, these are the things I've come to realize

But Luke trained quite long to use the lightsword and letting things levitate - I mean the whole episode with yoda didn't he trained months on that ugly planet? ^.^ But you are right.. I do not reminder anything +.+ I really have to re-watch the old star wars movies *.*
Don't be sorry x) I do enjoy our conversation so much!
