It's been a while since I made a Mario related drawing, and an even longer while since I invented a character! So today I present Marie Yoshizora, a character I created for a Mario fanfic I was writing a while ago. There's a whole backstory to her and all, but for now a quick excerpt of who she is.

Marie Yoshizora, or simply Marie, is a Yoshi hailing from the far reaches of the galaxies past Mario's world. She comes from a royal family, and is a generally shy and calm Yoshi like many, not being a big fan of conflict. Her higher social standing within her home has usually made her feel somewhat of an outsider in some social settings, such as school. Some of her general interests are astronomy and meteorology. Always by her side is her trusty Luma named Tico. She wears a purple cape with a shining star brooch and her color is a light bluish green.

I might post a full bio drawing with more detail on her backstory and role within the story I'm writing. Anyways, in this drawing you can see her sitting in her personal Starshroom, admiring the sunset from her usual stargazing spot, accompanied by Tico as well. As for the drawing itself, it took about 3-5 hours of on-off work. I decided to try drawing a sunset this time around, since I mostly stick to nighttime and outer space drawings. Still love doing those, but I felt like changing things up a bit. The lighting was especially my favorite part to do here. Marie's coloring looks like that of a green Yoshi here, but trust me, it's a lighter blue sort of green.

So yeah! Hopefully I'll be more consistent with drawing soon. I feel a bit weird about sharing my characters out in the open too but I really like how the overall drawing turned out, soo I had to share. Hope y'all like.
