I've wanted to do a colour drawing of a cheetah for awhile. They're beautiful animals, but are built so differently than other cats - I kept feeling like I was drawing a short-faced greyhound. But I loved the pose of the cheetah in this picture, and the angle of the backlegs helped downplay the awkardness of the sighthound build and smaller head. I think it's one of my favourite drawings
