Description
My second attempt at a colored outline! Same storyline, different character! I only have a chibi of him up here, but he's actually pretty fun to draw too XD He's a little like Rey, but with more dignity! His name is Logan! *yes, this drawing does have the title of the story for no real reason other than IT'S A COOL TITLE!*Edit: What do you guys think of the color outline idea? Does it suit my style? Or better yet, did I pull it off okay?

your shading along with the blue outline and BG blends nicely. I think it compliments your style nicely! and the comic is called 'By Blood' right?? Well..just a suggestion but WHAAT IF you did a outline of one or more of your main characters in red and had a BG of dark blood?? Or is that too cliche XD ??

XD thank you! *a plus for timely response on my part >.>* it'd actually work really well because of the heavy themes on blood XD Think it would still work if the background faded between different shades of red? Like... a brighter, unnatural red, then maybe a purplish red-- as if it's oxygen deprived?

and I have a pretty good feeling that would work (purple's and reds compliment each other)..'oxygen deprived' OOOoooo..XD lol I automatically think of day old blood some where!

Here, the colored outline works great! But, I think that's due to the general color scheme. I can't imagine this looking good with say...hot pink outlines. >_< A suggestion to try: vary the darkness/lightness of the color outline. I used a dark blue outlined before and it looked horrible around the darker / heavily shaded areas.

LMAO That's a good point XD I'll have to try that! The two drawings I did with colored outlines were more of a random doodle, so I didn't really think much about what I was doing XD But I'll definitely have to try darkening the areas of outline o3o
I ran into that problem a lot with the hair while I was working, actually T.T it was either too dark or too light! Thank you for the honest opinion! It really helps!

I'm starting to think so too! I'll probably keep black outlines, but I'll also do some colored ones... it takes more time to do a colored outline, since it blends in with the picture if I'm not careful @_@

Maybe it's your mac? Cuz PS has a reputation for arguing with photoshop, even though it claims to be a machine for artists. It shut down on me several times when I was using woelfles
