i just take may painting pic. Put the painting such a way so no reflected light(from wall, floor, etc) falls on the surface.

Hi
I think this is a great painting in many ways. I am a art student at a swedish university. I would like to ask some question about your art and deviant art. If that is something you would like to do, get back to me.

this is real oil on canvas. You may take a look at richard schmid and morgan weistling sites, youtube, or other source. They're great masters. Fortunatelly, they produce videos, demos, tutorials, and books. These are very good refs.
My tips : don't use flash light and don't take at night. I use to take my painting outdoor and use indirect sun light for taking the pic.

would it only be acrylic that has that shine from the sun? i take pictures of my mothers paintings she paints acrylic paitings either oil style or watercolor and it seems like the details missing no matter what =/

In fact, i take the pic and checkit out at the computer, doing some normalization ( color, contrast, level, etc) using photoeditor software if the pic is similiar enough to the original painting. If it is not, i retake the pic at diferent locations or camera modes repeat the proces until i have the best one.
