I think I posted a WIP of this way long ago.....no wait, I didn't.Anyway, this is my favorite piece out of my portfolio, so I'm uploading it here (for lack of anything else at the moment)
Make of it what you will. Any resemblance to Pixar is purely coincidental.
Gouache on Masonite board. Not a long time, actually.

Or, at least, the title makes me think of a pack of hunting lamps, searching for prey. Yes, probably human flesh, no less. Only, they can't eat it because they have no mouths. So they just gather around and rub their bulbs sadly against you.
I've just totally creeped myself out now. I'm gonna stop.

They're just so adorable!
And now I imagine them trilling or cooing or something as they harbor dreams of murder and barbecues.
They pretend to be adorable little lamp-pets. Little do we know that they're actually cousins of angler fish. You just can't see their bodies.
