That's okay to me. I don't want no police home.

I'm willing to bet that most of the people commenting on how true this is have never actually called the police a single time in their lives. It's easy to agree with something like this when you've never had to test it.
Like some others have said, police have a lot more to worry about than what toppings you want on your grease-pie.

I have had to test it. After an attempted burglary the cops got to my house roughly 30 minutes after being called. Not bad, considering there was really nothing they could do at that point, though I sometimes wonder if they couldn't have caught the guy if they'd gotten there a bit sooner since he took off on foot. Still faster than most pizza places, though.

Admittedly, there ARE some cops that don't do much and then the rest of their team suffers a bad public image, but people really should be thankful there's someone to call during an emergency at all...

Yes and you are also right. There are some, but they are not even the majority. We have to have a number of tickets issued by the end of the month and number of what we call 'stop cards' so its not like they are completely useless.
Haha, usually the people that bitch about the police are the first ones crying when they don't show up fast enough.

I berieve that perhaps there are more people working at a pizza place that don't have so hard of tasks to deal with an/or as many people to attend to as a police or rescue units have to. Cops cost money, delivery guys don't. Their job at one dispute can take hours, a pizza guy 30 mins or less. Cops have to save lives, pizza guys have to collect change.

It's true. The only time I ever had to call the police they didn't show up for 4 hours. Though I imagine there's more pizza delivery people then there are police.

why is that a bad thing? if pizza arrived at your house AFTER the police, there would be a lot more crime, at least on my part... never get in the way of a little, starving, mexican artist and his pizza.

The chaser, an awesome show in my country, did a test to see how long it would take to get into a hospital.
In the time they were waiting they managed to order in a pizza, a morgage broker and a gorillagram.
